Verse:

States may sing their songs of praise
With waving flags and hip-hoo-rays,
Let cymbals crash and let bells ring
Cause here's one song I'm proud to sing.

Choruses:

Go, Mississippi, keep rolling along,
Go, Mississippi, you cannot go wrong,
Go, Mississippi, we're singing your song,
M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

Go, Mississippi, you're on the right track,
Go, Mississippi, and this is a fact,
Go, Mississippi, you'll never look back,
M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

Go, Mississippi, straight down the line,
Go, Mississippi, ev'rything's fine,
Go, Mississippi, it's your state and mine,
M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

Go, Mississippi, continue to roll,
Go, Mississippi, the top is the goal,
Go, Mississippi, you'll have and you'll hold,
M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

Go, Mississippi, get up and go,
Go, Mississippi, let the world know,
That our Mississippi is leading the show,
M-I-S-S-I-S-S-I-P-P-I

Rep. Greg Snowden Announces Web-Site

Site will be used to improve communication with constituents

January 3rd, 2000  -- State Representative Greg Snowden (R - Meridian)  announced today that he has established an internet website to provide his constituents with as much access to the inner-working of the state government as possible. He will be providing access to such items as Bill Tracking for pending legislation as well as links to various state agencies and departments. Said Rep. Snowden, "My new website will be a valuable tool in my work on behalf of the citizens of Meridian & Lauderdale County."

The website is being produced by Tarver Program Consultants, Inc. of Meridian. Owner, Paul H. Tarver will be acting as the website's webmaster. "Internet users can find the website at www.gregsnowden.com," stated Tarver who has been working and developing for the web for over four years. "We wanted to select a site name that would be easy to remember and what better Greg's own name."

"In the past, communication with constituents has primarily been one-way, that is, the legislator would release information which was then passed along by the press to the voter. With this new website, we will be enhancing the relationship by allowing the people to send their opinions directly to me, whether I am in Jackson, or at home in Meridian," Snowden reflected.

Snowden will take office at noon on Tuesday, January 4th, 2000 immediately following the swearing in ceremony in the chamber of the House of Representatives at the State Capitol in Jackson, Mississippi. Snowden is a native of Meridian and his family has resided in Lauderdale County for over one hundred fifty years.
